Encourage Your Teen
This week, present your teen with this quote: “Don’t compare yourself with others. Just work hard to improve every day and be the best version of yourself that you can be.” -Chris Pratt
Discuss whether you agree or disagree…or restate the quote in your own words.
How is this encouraging?
Whether your teen agrees or disagrees with the quote, he or she can take ownership in the critical thinking process of evaluating the quote against his/her own ethics.
It encourages your teen because it helps develop self-awareness and the ability to analyze someone else’s beliefs…deciding whether those are the same, similar, or different from their own.
Which One Doesn’t Belong?

Activities like “Which One Doesn’t Belong” build analytical and oboservational skills.

As always with this type of puzzle, there’s more than one right answer and more than one reason for any of the answers…but if you’re really stumped, I’ll give you a couple of more ideas you can discuss…
#4 is the only one that requires charging
#1 is the one that’s the most physically active when you’re using it
Have fun with this one! And don’t rush the process…critical thinking is NOT about being fast!
You’ve got this!
