“Andy Griffith!”
This was the exclamation from my husband in an otherwise quiet room.
This is not his version of “Eureka!” lol…
It was that he finally remembered where we had seen an actor before.
The conversation was probably 15 minutes earlier, and I had looooong forgotten we even wondered about it.
Honestly, when I couldn’t place the actor after just a second of thinking, I thought, oh well…I’ll look him up on IMDB if it’s really bothering me.
And it wasn’t, so I thought nothing more of it.
But Derek, in bulldog-like tenacity, had been observing, watching his mannerisms, and listening to his voice, and eventually, it came to him.
The guy was in an episode of Andy Griffith that we’ve probably seen a dozen times.
And I was reminded of this quote from Albert Einstein:
“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”
Whoa.
I don’t know about you, but that was pretty incredible to me the first time I read it.
Obviously, Einstein IS smart (whatever that means, haha)…
But to think that he recognized there was more to it than that…😎
